The Washington Huskies football team has become surprisingly powerful recently. Their head coach, Chris Petersen, has done an exceptional job with the program. Some experts consider the team to be one of the most underrated in college football. That is why this season is sure to be exciting. If you have stressed about missing the season because of the growing costs of cable or satellite, we have some options for you where you do not need either one.
Whether you have been a Huskies fan for years or you are new to the program, you won’t want to miss any of the action. Most of the games will be shown on Fox networks or the PAC 12 Network. Because of stand alone streaming services, you can watch channels like this at a fraction of the cost. Here are our recommended options to watch the Washington Huskies games.
Use Sling TV to watch the Huskies Games
As one of the oldest stand-alone services, Sling TV has one of the quickest and easiest setups available. It is also one of the best known. Beginning at $20 a month, you can see the prices are quite a bit below the normal costs. You can access many popular cable channels with no contract to sign. Unfortunately, not all of the Tigers games have listed a TV station yet.
What we can tell you is the first Clemson game will be shown on ESPN. It will take place on Saturday, Sept 2nd at noon EST. The opponent will be Kent St. and the game will be played at home in Memorial Stadium. The next two games will take place on the same channel. You will at least need the Sling Orange package if you want to watch the available games. If you want to have a look at Sling TV free for 7 days, you can decide if you want to grab the service.
Using DirecTV Now to stream Washington Football
If you are familiar with DirecTV, you may not be aware that they have a stand alone streaming service called DirecTV Now. Though this option offers many of the same good football options, it does not have the PAC 12 channel. You would definitely miss some of the games with this option. However, it provides the subscriber more than 60 channels in the starting package for $35 a month with no contract. Those include ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, and many others. Be sure to check the website if you want to know more about the offered channels. It also includes more than 10,000 on demand channels. You can sign up for a 7-day free trial to see if DirecTV Now is right for you.
The service is usable on Chromecast, Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV. If you are planning on streaming from your PC or Mac, you will need to use Google Chrome or Safari. You are allowed to use 2 devices at one time, and there is a rewind feature so you can replay up to the last 72 hours of TV. If you try this one, that is a real advantage if you miss any of the Huskies game, or just want to re-watch it.
Use PlayStation Vue to watch Huskies Football
If you are looking for another alternative, PlayStation Vue streaming service (often called PS Vue) is option you have. It does not offer the Pac 12 network either, though. Instead, you get more than 45 channels for $40 a month without a contract. Those channels include ABC, ESPN2, CBS, SEC Network, ESPN, and many more. PS Vue does not only focus on sports, but gives you other popular choices as well. This is an OK option, but you will miss some games for sure. It is one of the only services to offer the big 4 US networks. PSVue is offering a 5-day free trial to new users.
It is compatible with PS3, PS4, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, and others. With this one, you have the option of streaming up to 5 devices at one time, and you can also stream and play video games. Despite these factors, this one may not be the best option to watch Harry the Husky.
